Yessica Arvizu Martinez

Yessica is an undergraduate student at the University of Rochester, she is a Psychology major and Brain and Cognitive Sciences minor.

She moved from Mexico in 2018 after receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Mexico and working as an engineer for 2 years. She decided to switch careers to pursue her passion. She now works as a Research Assistant in the Cognitive Development Lab and the Social Stress Lab.

She has worked as a tour guide in a museum, a children’s animator, and a volunteer in children’s homes.

She is interested in children’s mental health and wants to become a Clinical Psychologist.
