Seung Heon Yoo is a postdoctoral associate working with Dr. Karl Rosengren on investigating the role of visual representation on children’s learning about biological variability. He received his PhD in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison under the supervision of Dr. Heather Kirkorian. His dissertation examined the influence of video format and unrealistic video content on preschool-aged children’s learning and transfer from educational media. Broadly, he is interested in understanding the impact of technology on children’s learning and the moderating/mediating effect of child characteristics and contextual factors on children’s learning from technology.
